Principal Duties & Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to drive and lead the accounting, tax, and compliance of etaily.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing processes and procedures with regard to accounting, tax, and compliance. This role is expected to be superb in Philippine compliance, IFRS, and other APAC GAAP, but has a solid base on accounting and tax principles that will allow the successful candidate to manage all jurisdictions where etaily currently and will soon have operations. The ideal candidate must have relevant experience in consolidation and external and management reporting.

The ideal candidate should not be cozy with the status quo and consistently challenge how objectives are accomplished and executed. This person should be able to accept challenges and be comfortable with new ways of working.
 

Job responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and efficiency in processes.
  • Supervise and guide the accounting team, focusing on quality and adherance to operational procedures.
  • Implement strong internal controls for financial integrity and assist in annual audits.
  • Analyze financial data for strategic decision-making and ensure compliance with IFRS and APAC GAAP.
  • Drive continous improvement in accounting systems and processes, inlcuding autiomation and system optimizations.

Requirements:
  • A Certified Public Accountant
  • Proven 5 years experience as an Accounting Supervisor or Manager with focus in Audit, group FS preparation, PH and SG Tax Compliance, ERP System.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax and other regulations and financial reporting.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to mentor and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in accounting softwarre and microsoft excel.
  • Effective communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic ennvironment.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • High level of intregrity and commitment to maintaning confidentiality.
