Demand and Supply Planning Intern (Hybrid)
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The Intern will support the Demand and Supply Planning Team by assisting with data gathering, analysis, and reporting across the demand and supply chain functions. This includes learning to:
- Assist in collecting and cleansing historical sales data to help create a statistical baseline forecast.
- Support the translation of the demand plan into a preliminary supply plan and assist with monthly ordering documentation.
- Help monitor inventory levels and movements to ensure service level requirements are met while minimizing excess stock.
- Learn to utilize ERP systems or planning tools for data extraction and preliminary analysis to identify operational trends.
- Participate in meetings and support coordination with internal teams (Commercial, Operations, Finance) to gather market intelligence (promotions, new launches).
- Assist in preparing preliminary reports on forecast accuracy, inventory mix, and key supply chain metrics.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in collecting and preparing data required to translate the demand plan into a supply plan.
Help prepare preliminary analysis of historical sales data and perform data cleansing for the statistical baseline forecast.
Support administrative tasks related to supply chain planning, such as article creation documentation and shipment monitoring.
Attend the forecast review and alignment meeting with the Commercial team to document key assumptions, marketing intelligence, and product information.
Assist in documenting and validating forecast assumptions against financial plans.
Support the Demand and Supply Planning team in preparing operational reports and various analyses for Commercial and Operations teams.
Participate in learning and documentation efforts related to the S&OP process and continuous improvement projects.
Undertake any other tasks occasionally assigned that are related to the Demand & Supply Planning function.
Your Profile
You are a current student or recent graduate from a top university with a high drive and ambition to start a career in e-commerce or supply chain management. You possess strong academic achievements and are eager to apply your theoretical knowledge in a practical setting. Independence, flexibility, and speed are qualities you value, and you are comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. A basic understanding of the internet and e-commerce sector is a plus.
Key Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Management, Supply Chain, or an equivalent field.
- Previous internship experience or academic projects in demand/supply planning, inventory management, or supply chain is an advantage, but not required.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills in English and Filipino.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Capable of managing simultaneous tasks and demonstrating a strong willingness to learn and work under deadlines.
